The manager’s residence

<p style="font-weight: 400">The steward’s residence was where the steward lived, which was often the young generation who would inherit Kragerup Gods. The older estate owner lived in the main building, and when the younger generation moved home, they became the tenant/manager of the estate. They lived in the manager’s house until the older generation died and they could take over the main building. </p> <p style="font-weight: 400">It was also the younger generation that had all the students and men on board – most recently Regitze’s grandmother Marie Louise Dinesen.</p> <p>8th generation Birgitte Dinesen also lived in Forvalterboligen during her childhood until her grandfather died in 1967, after which she moved into the main building with her family. Birgitte Dinesen moved back into the manager’s house in 2008 with her husband and estate manager Olav Ditlevsen. When Birgitte and Olav moved out to Rugskov in 2011, the manager’s house was furnished with two conference rooms and six hotel rooms. </p>
