Regitze’s room

Regitze Sophie Andersen Dinesen is Birgitte Dinesen’s daughter and the 9th generation of the Dinesen family at Kragerup Gods.

Growing up at Kragerup
Regitze was born in 1990 and lived at Kragerup as a young girl. In 1998, Birgitte opened the first six B&B rooms. At the time, Birgitte and Regitze were still living in the main building in the rooms. Birgitte asked her daughter if they should turn Kragerup into a “party” and Regitze thought it sounded fun. However, neither of them knew how big this so-called party would be and that in the future Kragerup would consist of 57 rooms, parties, guests, conferences, an activity park and much more.

Back then, it was Regitze and Birgitte themselves who cooked for the guests, did the dishes, cleaned the rooms and did all the practical things. Regitze clearly remembers how she brought breakfast trays to the guests and knocked on the door. However, things didn’t always go according to plan and sometimes Regitze also had to pack up her toys because her dear mother had made a double booking – so she had to move to her grandmother’s house in the park for a night when her room was to be used by guests.

“Today, I remember this whole period as a fun, crazy and present time when we were always around guests – a bit like ‘hanging out at the beach hotel’.

Regitze has always earned her own pocket money at Kragerup, first washing dishes and later in the kitchen, as a waiter and climbing instructor, and was eventually employed as event manager before her studies called.

“I was raised with the motto that diligence and hard work will get you the furthest. Secondly, I have always been taught that anything in life is possible, you just have to ask someone who knows someone, be brave and most importantly never give up.”

In 2012-2018, she studied at CBS in Copenhagen, where she first studied HA (psych) and then Cand.Merc.(Psych) – a Master’s degree in Business Economics and Psychology.

Regitze has worked as a project manager in several creative agencies and in 2021 she took over the operation and ownership of the estate. “My ambition is to continue Kragerup’s proud heritage, I’m very focused on operations, improvement opportunities and creating value for our guests. For me, Kragerup is not just a place where past and present meet – it’s a place where guests can enjoy historic surroundings, delicious food and try activities in nature.”
