Marius Jacob Neergaard Dinesen
<p style="font-weight: 400">Marius Jacob Neergaard Dinesen (1835-1915) was born on January 10, 1835 on Kragerup Gods. His father was Anders Didrich Dinesen (1798-1840) and his mother was Sophie Jacobine de Neergaard (1810-1857). </p>
<p style="font-weight: 400">Marius graduated in 1855 at a private graduation ceremony and on June 20, 1859, he received his master’s degree in economics (cand. polit.). On March 18, 1868, he was appointed master hunter, was the owner of Schæfergaarden, bought Vibygods in 1873, owned a lot of large properties in Copenhagen and in the 1900s was appointed Knight of Dannebrog. He became the treasurer of the “Hygæa” health association and managed the money for over 30 years. </p>
<p style="font-weight: 400">Marius Dinesen was a very quiet and reserved man, he had a fine way of thinking and a gracious willingness to help other people. This meant that he had many friends and was well-liked. </p>
<p style="font-weight: 400">On September 25, 1862, Marius married Ida Cathrine van Deurs (1942-1920), who was born in Holbæk at Frydendal. They had a total of four children together. </p>
<p style="font-weight: 400">Marius died on August 18, 1915 in Copenhagen.</p>
