<p style="font-weight: 400">Jørgen Eigil Wiffert Dinesen (1895-1965) was born on June 22, 1895 at Gl. Wiffertsholm. He was the son of Axel Wilhelm Dinesen (1865-1932) and Ida van Deurs (1868-1964). Jørgen was a very ambitious man who managed to go far in life. He became a farmer, manager of many large farms, second lieutenant, chamberjunker, court hunter, chamberlain, land commissioner and Knight of Dannebrog. He took over Kragerup Gods in 1939, where he started drainage projects and built two large cattle herds at both Kragerup and Rugskov. He was a very well-liked man both among his employees and the parish residents, as he had a very democratic attitude and was certainly not a snob. </p> <p style="font-weight: 400">Jørgen married Baroness Viveka Schaffalitzky de Muckadell (1901-1946) on March 11, 1926, with whom he had three children: Birthe Alvilde Dinesen (1932-2020), Anders Wilhelm Dinesen (1933-2005) and Erik Sophus Dinesen (1928-2005). After Viveka’s death in 1946, Jørgen became an active part of the leadership of many organizations. He was either a member or chairman of over 10 different organizations. </p> <p style="font-weight: 400">Jørgen died on May 12, 1965 at Kragerup Gods after a short period of illness and is buried at the family grave at Ørslev cemetery.</p>
