Dagmar Alvilde Dinesen

<p style="font-weight: 400">Dagmar Alvilde Dinesen (née von Haffner) (1818-1874) was born on July 7, 1818. She was the daughter of Excellency, Chamberlain and Lieutenant General Johan Wolfgang Reinhold v. Haffner and Anna Margrethe Kaasbøll. On September 29, 1840, Dagmar married Chamberlain Adolph Vilhelm Dinesen (1807-1876) and was given the surname Dinesen. They had a total of eight children, two of whom joined the military like Adolph. They also had a daughter, Alvilde Dinesen. </p> <p style="font-weight: 400">Dagmar died a year and a half before her husband on December 19, 1874 at Katholm Estate, which her husband owned. She was buried at Ålsø Cemetery, where one of her sons chose the following verse for her gravestone: </p> <p style="font-weight: 400"><em>Thought only of the good of others.<br /> Soft of heart, gentle of mind.<br /> Strong in adversity, mosquito in luck.<br /> Noble, faithful Danish woman.</em></p>
