Anders graduated in 1816 and took a law degree in 1820, after which he was appointed copyist in the Copenhagen Police Court in 1823. When his father died in 1827, he inherited Kragerup Gods, which he then took over the administration of.
He created the family coat of arms in 1829, which is still in use today. Between 1838-40, he started rebuilding the estate’s main building and the existing side wings respectively.

Anders died on June 12, 1840, aged just 42, leaving behind his wife and three children. The eldest son and heir to Kragerup Gods, Jens Kraft Jacob Sophus Dinesen (1830-1910), was only 10 years old at the time and thus too young to take over the running of the estate. Anders’ widow, Sophie, therefore took over after his death. The widow was skilled and active. She built new farm buildings, cut down some forest and established the Rugskov farm.
