Kragerup’s story told by 8th generation Birgitte Dinesen

Take an excursion to Kragerup Manor and get a tour of the main building and around the grounds. Learn about the history of the important people who have lived on the estate, many of whom are now depicted in the paintings in the main building.

Birgitte Dinesen is the 8th generation of the Dinesen family at Kragerup Estate and is an entertaining storyteller. She can recount the history of Kragerup dating back to 1327, spiced with historical events, important personalities, ghosts and her own childhood memories. Not least, she can talk about the transformation from traditional farming to a modern business, which today consists of a first-class hotel and venue for conferences, events and parties, agriculture and forestry, Denmark’s first climbing parkand trampoline park and Kragerup Energy Park with six wind turbines.

We had a really nice stay at Kragerup Gods. The surroundings and the estate are so beautiful, the food fantastic and the staff top notch. The rooms are cozy with a nice bathroom - terrace to a courtyard where we could sit and enjoy the good weather. And before dinner we sat on the estate's large terrace with a glass of bubbles. Can only recommend this beautiful place.

We were on a one-day stay with a three-course menu with which we bought a wine pairing. Everything was just perfect - from the service, food, wine and the amazing experiences. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to try the climbing park or other activities, but we will next time because we will definitely come back another time.

Best stay to date. Everything worked perfectly. We are an older couple who didn't take advantage of the many activities, but enjoyed seeing the many young people and children enjoying themselves. We had a great time - maybe we will come again with the grandchildren. We "settled" for enjoying nature and the opportunity to visit family nearby.
