Restaurant Blixen at Kragerup Manor
Food flavored with the spice of life
At Kragerup Manor you will find the atmospheric and intimate Restaurant Blixen, named after its inspiration: Karen Blixen. The old estate kitchen with preserved wood-burning stove and copper pots has been the heart of the estate for hundreds of years, and today the cozy eatery pays tribute to the Danish author, who is part of the history of the place as she was born Dinesen and in her younger days visited her relatives at Kragerup Estate.
Restaurant Blixen offers Danish food with French traditions for both lunch and dinner. All dishes are produced with care, and we are inspired by getting as much flavor out of individual ingredients as possible. Freshness, high quality and short distance from farm to table are the signature of the restaurant, and we emphasize the use of local produce in season, including herbs, edible flowers, fruits and berries from the estate’s own garden.
We had a really nice stay at Kragerup Gods. The surroundings and the estate are so beautiful, the food fantastic and the staff top notch. The rooms are cozy with a nice bathroom - terrace to a courtyard where we could sit and enjoy the good weather. And before dinner we sat on the estate's large terrace with a glass of bubbles. Can only recommend this beautiful place.
We were on a one-day stay with a three-course menu with which we bought a wine pairing. Everything was just perfect - from the service, food, wine and the amazing experiences. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to try the climbing park or other activities, but we will next time because we will definitely come back another time.
Again a wonderful stay. Everything just works, from the fantastic surroundings (not least the outdoor activities) and the extremely service-minded staff to the food and the beautiful rooms. You get the sense that these are people who care about the place and take pride in ensuring that guests get the best of the best. Truly worth a visit.
We enjoyed a stay at Kragerup Manor with coffee and cake, wellness, 5-course gourmet dinner, accommodation and a lovely breakfast buffet. Fantastic stay, beautiful surroundings, catering, very high service, beautiful room and high standard of hygiene. We were greeted with smiles and friendliness everywhere. We can only highly recommend others to enjoy a stay at Kragerup Gods.
Best stay to date. Everything worked perfectly. We are an older couple who didn't take advantage of the many activities, but enjoyed seeing the many young people and children enjoying themselves. We had a great time - maybe we will come again with the grandchildren. We "settled" for enjoying nature and the opportunity to visit family nearby.

The romantic surroundings at Kragerup Manor ensure a special and intimate atmosphere all year round. When you stay at Kragerup Manor, you’ll move into stately surroundings with the option of a four-poster bed and bathtub and a natural backdrop to explore during your stay.
A romantic estate stay includes coffee and cake in the garden room upon arrival, a 3-course menu of the chef’s choice, an aperitif and not least an overnight stay in one of our beautiful Rooms. If you want to get your adrenaline pumping, take a trip to the heights in our Go High climbing park, solve amurder mysteryaround the estate or try your hand at archery.

We always recommend ending the day with quality time in our romantic fireplace lounge, where you can enjoy a drink or two and chat about the day’s experiences.

At Kragerup Estate, we run our own farm with crops that you can taste during your stay. In our Restaurant Blixen you can enjoy unique gastronomic experiences where chefs and staff with a tireless passion for food and wine will curate a fantastic evening for you. The chefs cook according to the principle of using the best seasonal ingredients with a short journey from farm to table. The style is classic with a French touch, and many of our ingredients come from our own breeding.
