The dining room

The charming dining room is located on the ground floor in the right wing of the main building and is furnished with a classic long table that invites you to grand dinners and parties. The banquet room has a beautiful view of the park and the moat and is a bright and welcoming space. Beautiful, classic paintings and portraits hang on the walls and the ceiling is adorned with a fairytale chandelier.

“The dining room exudes elegance and this is where the Dinesen family held lavish parties for many years. Those were the days when all the ladies arrived in their finest ball gowns and the men with top hats and canes.”

Grain magazine

Kornmagasinet is a large, bright function room located on the 1st floor of the main building with views of both the park and the courtyard. The room is perfect for larger parties such as weddings, birthdays or corporate events. With exposed beams in the ceiling and rustic wooden floors, the granary combines the historic manor house style with contemporary elegance.

“The back staircase leading up to the granary is battered, but full of history about the true workhorses of the time. When the harvest was in, all the ‘gold’ (sacks of grain) was carried up to the granary, which at the time was a kind of bank for the harvest yield until the grain was sold. There was an old hoist outdoors, but many sacks of grain were also dragged up the old stairs, which are still there.”

Carriage gate

Vognporten is Kragerup Estate’s second largest room and is perfect for larger parties or celebrations. The room is located in a former breeding building that has been renovated with respect for history. It has its own toilets, cloakroom facilities and bar, and the room has plenty of space for a stage with a DJ or live band.

“In the sixties, there were pigs in the wagon gate on both the ground floor and the first floor. There was an elevator up and manure outside. After the pigs were put out, the carriage house was used as a car and tractor museum when Regitze’s grandfather Chamberlain Erik Dinesen collected old vintage tractors, motorcycles and vintage cars.”

Kviestalden

The rustic cattle barn has undergone a complete renovation and now boasts large crystal chandeliers, real carpets on the walls and fantastic light from the two large glass sections in the gables that let the daylight in. The former farm building is on its own and contains toilets, cloakroom facilities and a bar. The spacious room is ideal for weddings or large parties with a live band and dance floor. In front of the heifer barn is a lovely terrace where the welcome drink can be enjoyed.

“In the old days, the heifer barn was used as a stable for the cows. In winter, when the heifers were sorted out, they were turned loose here. When the cows were turned out, the heifer barn was used for drying.”

Forest cabin

Skovhytten is a large, bright function room that, in true log cabin style, has a beautiful panoramic view of the park and forest. In the middle of the green, you get the experience of bringing nature into the party. The rustic log cabin is perfect for unpretentious and relaxed parties with roast suckling pig or barbecue buffet. The log cabin can be booked from May to October.
