Restaurant Blixen

Enjoy a wonderful dinner or lunch in the cozy Restaurant Blixen, where we offer Danish food with French traditions. Restaurant Blixen is located in the center wing of the main building, where you can enjoy a romantic dinner in quiet and historic surroundings. During the summer, you can enjoy the view of the park from the terrace during dinner.

We are inspired by getting a lot of flavor out of individual ingredients, which is why freshness, high quality and a short distance from farm to table are the restaurant’s signature. We emphasize using seasonal ingredients, preferably from local producers and from the estate’s own garden, which offers herbs, edible flowers, fruit and berries.

Dive into the story of Kragerup Estate

Meet the Dinesen family

Deeply rooted in history lies Kragerup Estate – a gem in scenic Denmark. The estate’s roots stretch back to the 14th century, and for many generations it has been run as a traditional farm with cattle herding, dairy and horticulture. In 1998, the 8th generation and Chambermaid Birgitte Dinesen started a fantastic transformation into the 4-star hotel and conference venue that can be visited in West Zealand today.

Kragerup Estate now belongs to 9th generation owner Regitze Sophie Dinesen, who grew up at Kragerup. She runs the estate with pride in her mother’s legacy and a vision of combining a modern hotel experience with a sense of history.
